Part 1: The Day My Life Went "Paw-ward" in Korea

For my very first blog posting, I want to share something special and very personal. It’s the story of how Lucky Paws Treasury truly began—and why I’m so obsessed with quality for your fur babies.
Back in June 2014, I was traveling in Busan, South Korea. If you haven’t been, it’s gorgeous—mountains behind you, the East Sea right in front of you. Truly "main character" vibes!
There, I found a mama cat and three tiny kittens living near a building. Two were quickly adopted, but one tiny soul was left waiting.
Then, one dark evening, everything changed. The building manager brought me that last kitten. She had accidentally gotten stuck between the glass doors as he was locking up. She was so tiny, she couldn't even make a sound. My heart just dropped. I told myself, "I’ll just look after her until she can walk again."
Well, spoiler alert: that "until" has lasted over 11 years.
I still vividly remember the moment she saw my face from under some recycling boxes and started crawling toward me. I knew absolutely nothing about cats—I’d never even touched one before.
But in that moment, seeing her bravery despite the pain, I knew I was all she had. That was the day I stopped being just a traveler and became a "Cat Mom" for life.
I’m going to share my caregiving routine for my cat with special needs on the blog. I hope it brings some helpful insights to other pet parents on a similar journey
